Welcoming Committee Pt 2

"I...am...Groot."

"I am Arbutus, my child."

After seeing Infinity War, I was devastated. There were so many deaths, it was horrible. Yet, I can't help but wonder if maybe part of the plan, in some strange way, was for Marvel characters to meet Disney ones.

Arbutus was another Aladdin 'villain,' sort of. Since he was an Earth elemental thing, he was protective of his greenery and 'died' because of it. Thankfully, a little bud appeared at the end of the episode, sort of like how Groot regrew.

I thought of this meeting after Infinity War because it seemed so perfect. Both were misunderstood, one literally and one figuratively. I figured after over twenty years, this plant deserved a friend.

It was either Arbutus or Bushroot now that I think of it.

Groot belongs to Marvel, and Arbutus to Disney
