Quiz 9: Perez

A/N: Okay first and well only real demon in these ten interviews.
Interviewer:
Crystal: Good imaginary OC.
Interviewer:*glares*
Anyways, meet Perez, who’s only description in the “Dictionary of Mythology” (awesome book if you can find it) is “night demon.” Leaves a lot of leeway for artistic license. So meet Perez, one of the many inhabitants of the basement.
Interviewer:

*Interviewer steps into the elevator, soaking wet and presses the B4 button*
*Shivers as “Highway to Hell” starts playing in the background*
*The shivering isn’t just from the water dripping from his hair*
*Interviewer steps out of the elevator and onto a hard stone floor*
* Hit with a blast of hot air*
*Interviewer smiles and sets foot in the darkness of the bottom floors*
*Looks around*
*Halls are lit with flaming torches*
*A demon is igniting them with his thumb*
*Interviewer walks up to him*
Interviewer: Um…I’m looking for a demon named Perez? Do you know him?
*One of the demon’s two heads turns to the Interviewer*
Demon: Yeah…unfortunately.
Interviewer: Do you know where I can find him?
Demon: *Points down the hallway* Down there, take an immediate right, and then look for the random glow-in-the-dark markings. You can’t miss him.
Interviewer: Thanks.
Demon: Don’t mention it. And I mean NEVER. If the other demons knew I was giving directions to a human…
Interviewer: My lips are sealed.
Demon: Good. Now go away before I light you on fire.
Interviewer:
*Interviewer follows Demon’s directions and finds the glow-in-the-dark markings*
*It’s a demon all in black, surveying the hallway*
*Interviewer taps him on the shoulder*
*Perez jumps and squints at the Interviewer*
Perez: Who are you?
Interviewer: Um…I’m here to ask you a few questions.
Perez: I can’t do that right now; I’m on a very important mission.
Interviewer: A mission?
Perez: *whispers* Yes, a mission.
Interviewer: Why are we whispering?
Perez: Because this is VERY important.
Interviewer: Can I ask you the questions while you’re…you know…doing your mission?
Perez: I guess so.
1. What's your real name and nickname?
Perez: I’m Antonio Perez, also known as Perez. I’m a night demon.
Interviewer: I sorta guessed that; it is night and all.
Perez: That’s just what they want you to think.
Interviewer: What?
Perez: You see, I’m secretly the angel Kismet and I have been able to infiltrate the basement levels of the towers.
Interviewer: I thought only demons could access these levels.
Perez: You’re here, and you’re not a demon.
Interviewer: I never thought of it that way. Maybe it’s because I’m a human.
Perez: Human? Better stay with me then. Don’t want any demons going after you.
Interviewer: But you have horns, and a tail, and flame markings…
Perez: *Leans flat against wall with arms spread out* It’s all part of the ruse. If I look like a demon, then they accept me. If I don’t, they’ll attack.
Interviewer: So have you gone back up? *points to ceiling* Since the whole spying on the enemy thing started?
Perez: No, only to the Purgatory Lounge. I can’t blow my cover. They big boss upstairs was even nice enough to block off the elevator for me so I won’t be tempted to try.
Interviewer: Doesn’t that only happen for demons?
Perez: It’s just to be safe. Now what’s the next question?
2. What's your current age?
Perez: I’m not quite sure. I don’t remember much after 1080 A.D. That’s when the ceiling collapsed and I was stuck under there for a week.
Interviewer: Was that when you discovered you were secretly an angel?
Perez: How did you know?
Interviewer: Lucky guess.
3. What's your favorite food?
Perez: Tacos.
Interviewer: Well, that’s normal.
Perez: With grubs on top.
Interviewer: *gag*
Perez: It’s good…you should try it one day.
Interviewer: I think I’ll pass on that one.
Perez: Suit yourself.
4. Okay…what’s your favorite drink?
Perez: Water.
Interviewer: That’s it?
Perez: Yeah.
Interviewer: Nothing weird to go with it?
Perez: No…
Interviewer: *mumbles* Why does the craziest one come up with a normal answer?
5. Your crush/lover?
Perez: No one.
Interviewer: Are you sure?
Perez: Well, Aria HAS been helping me try to get into the upper floors, but it isn’t working!
Interviewer: Wait; how has she been helping you?
Perez: You know…sticking her head through the floor and stuff like that.
Interviewer: You TOLD her to stick her head in the floor this morning?
Perez: If my fellow angel Gabriel was not so swift I would have gotten up there.
Interviewer: But the other demons…I mean the REAL demons…could have gotten up there too!
Perez: But I know their weak spots. I could help, really I could.
6. Anyways, have you two kissed yet?
Perez: Of COURSE not. I cannot blow my cover with something as trivial as a kiss. Besides, she’d kiss that Ryan character first
7. What's your favorite color?
Perez: Anything that glows in the dark.
Interviewer: That’s not really a colour
Perez: Is so! *points to glowing markings* These glow in the dark.
Interviewer: Then why do you like it so much?
Perez: Because they represent a light amidst the darkness. One that can only be revealed at the blackest hour of the day.
Interviewer: In other words, you think it looks cool.
Perez: That’s just about right
8. Who's your favorite author?
Perez: I like Fred Challes, you know, Ryan Lynch’s rival?
Interviewer: This doesn’t have anything to do with Aria…does it?
Perez: No, I just like his novels.
Interviewer: I’ll take your word on that one.
9. Now what's your biggest fear?
Perez: Never returning to my proper place in the upper floors because my disguise is so effective. That will not happen though; I will persevere!
Interviewer:*sighs*

10. Any siblings?
Perez: All of the angels of course!
Interviewer: But you’re a…
Perez: An angel…remember? We’re ALL family

11. Who's your hero?
The guy upstairs.

12. Ok, who is your worst enemy?
Perez: Ryan Lynch.
Interviewer: What? Don’t you mean the guy down…well…here?
Perez: I’ll admit, I dislike Ryan more.
Interviewer: Doesn’t that go against…your…you know…mission?
Perez: I have to think like a demon in order to play the part.
Interviewer: Ooooookay.
13. What would you do if your hero and your worst enemy were in the same room?
Perez: According to the buzz around here, that’ll be pretty soon. Isn’t he our new landlord?
Interviewer: Yeah, I think so.
Perez: This isn’t going to be good.
Interviewer: Just don’t eat him and you’ll be okay.
Perez: If you say so

14. What would you do if you met your creator?

I’m sure that before my incident I met my creator many times.
15. Now, what do you want to do when you grow up?
Perez: Be a super spy
Interviewer: I guess that’s what you’re…uh…doing
Perez: Yes…this is my dream job

16. What's your worst nightmare?
Perez: I had one when all my markings stopped glowing!
Interviewer: I guess we all have our....priorities

17. What's your lifelong dream?
Perez: To have my wings restored, fly up to the highest level, burst through the roof and dance among the stars.
Interviewer: That sounds…beautiful
Perez: We can all have dreams. Even spies like me.

18. What would you do if your lifelong dream came true?
I would dance among the stars, with Aria
19. Where's your favorite place to relax?
Perez: Spies NEVER rest
Interviewer: Never?
Perez: Well…I do need to sleep…but a spy’s work is never done!
20. Last question! (Finally) What do you spend most of your time doing?
Perez: I spend most of my time surveying the enemy, tracking their every move and storing every detail to my memory.
Interviewer: Ooookay
Perez: This is my destiny. I will never truly rest until I have completed my work.
Interviewer: Good luck with that. *Turns away*
Perez: Wait.
Interviewer: Yeah?
Perez: Um…could you…would you…let the boss know how I’m doing? You know, give him an update?
Interviewer: I guess so. I do have to take these to him anyways.
Perez: Thanks.
Interviewer: You’re…um…welcome.
Perez: Oh, and can you say hello to Aria for me?
Interviewer: I’m pretty sure I’ll run into her. I’ll let her know Kismet sends his love.

*Interviewer leaves via the elevator, a smile oddly on his face*
