You told me you submitted it to the critique folder, to see how could you improve it (or something like that).
And I think the merman is really good idea.
I think if you want, you can improve it technically.
You can try some deeper shadows (and add the missing shadows). That would give him a more 3D look.
But you draw his expression well, and the background story is interesting too
He is kind of...light. Unfortunately that's the colour of an actual goblin shark, but I think adding the shadows is a good idea
I'll take note of it for his mate, who I will hopefully be posting soon

If she likes jewelry she could be a goldfish based...
but if you need something simple, I guess this one would be perfect for a female
I just need to find the other mermaid

There needed to be a freaky one
